Meetings are held at the Abbey Baptist Church, Abbey Square, commencing at 7.00 p.m.

NOTICEs:

• The Skittles evening will take place at the Red Lion at Theale on 7^th May at 7pm, and places are filling fast! Please sign up at the March meeting if you would like to attend. The cost will be £15 per head to include a hot buffet supper.

February Meeting

This year again, the weather gods smiled on us, and we had a lovely evening for our club auction! As such, 25 members were able to attend, and we had an unprecedented 22 individual buyers! With some competitive bidding and generous lot donations meant that the 172 lots realised a total of £938.95 (slightly down on last year), giving a commission to the club funds of £118.83. The high priced lots included:

• Lot 28 – 1886 Penny - £80
• Lot 23 – 1844 Third-Farthing - £55
• Lot 15 – 1887 Crown - £46
• Lot 22 – 1844 Crown - £45

A successful sale for the Club (thanks in part to a number of lots donated for club funds), for the vendors and for the buyers.
